A Passion for Precision
Dr. Mayer brings 15 years of experience in listening to and serving patients with dedication and kindness. She has a way of making sure you feel seen, are heard, and feel cared for. As an artist at heart, she will craft your smile with precision and care to ensure that you’ll be pleased and comfortable with the result.
With a decade and a half of dental expertise, you’re in talented hands with treatments like soft tissue grafting, IV sedation for wisdom teeth extractions, full mouth restorations, dental implants, and clear aligner treatment. Her patients are never in the dark as she always takes her time to explain each step of the treatment process and why it’s necessary.
Educational Excellence
Dr. Mayer graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in French Literature. She completed a Distinguished Major Thesis in each and received high honors for both majors. Dr. Mayer also Minored in Studio Art. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia Dental School and completed a General Practice Residency at the University of North Carolina, Memorial Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Home Life
Kelly enjoys spending family time with her husband, Colin, and their two children, Luca and Chloé. She is dedicated to using her skills to help those in need working with the Northern Virginia Free Dental Clinic and Mission of Mercy to provide dental care to underserved communities. You may find her enjoying the outdoors, running with her children, and spending time with her children, and traveling with her family. (Interesting note: she is fluent in English and French)
